Also, a group show I'm in in Oakland opened tonight.
Sadly I wasn't able to make it as large portions of Oakland are currently rioting & those sorts of things make me uncomfortable/freaked out. San Francisco rioting over the Giants winning the World Series is different. That was celebratory. This is not.
Anyway, I have two paintings in the show which will be up for a few weeks. Sad to miss the opening of a show with such a spectacular title!

I am so glad I stumbled upon your blog and will definitely be following it from now on! Your artwork is absolutely stunning and really speaks to me. The silhouettes are so elegant and cute at the same time, and I love how you've mixed things up with the houses instead of doing the same old silhouette (as I have, tehe). Her little pout is adorable and I love the separate, wispy strands of hair around her head.
So sorry to hear that you have to miss your opening! I don't blame you, though... that sounds awful.
I´m impressed, your work is Awsome.
