Painting sneak peek + prints

The past few weeks have been really really busy for me, I'm sorry for neglecting you.

I did get to work on an illustration for Nylon Magazine which I had a lot of fun with.. Can't show it to you quite yet, but look for it in the "culture club" section of their Dec/Jan issue. Exciting!

Here are a few teaser images of the painting I've been working on between other projects.
Meet Aveline, sister of Ophelia.

I'll show you the whole thing when she's done. Doing something a bit different here, still painting on wood but am not leaving the wood texture exposed. I wanted something a little darker, something more intense. Oh, and be careful of her red eye.

I got Ophelia and my feathered girl professionally photographed cause I didn't have time to fuss with it myself. The quality is ammazzzingggggg.

I will have updated prints of those two ladies in my shop this weekend.  10" x 10" and 12" x 12".
(I'll also be ordering some larger 20" x 20" size, let me know if you are interested. )

Limited Edition Prints + Tiny Frames

I'm doing a limited edition run of 10 of my piece, "Hold." Printed on Canson watercolor paper, each one is signed, numbered and dated. Now available in my shop!
(Larger prints being sold though Urban Outfitters.)

And I just have to show you this adorable little frame I got yesterday!

 Naturally I drew a little silhouette profile, oval frames are perfect for that. And a bike! I've already done a boat, maybe I'll do a train next. I've obviously got modes of transport on my mind, time to travel!
Speaking of travel, I'm going camping this weekend up in Lake Sonoma. We're staying at a place called Bummer's peak. (What a name!) I'm super excited and am going to take 34902834 pictures so I can show you how beautiful Northern California is. And my darling friend Alicia is driving up from LA for the weekend to come with us! I will miss my little kittenface though. He's getting so much bigger already! And is being quite maniacal these days, I must say.


His latest hobby is wrapping around my arm and attacking my fingers. We affectionately call him "Needles" because of this. It actually kind of hurts. Oh, but he's so fluffy and adorable! Okay, okay, I'm done obsessing (for the moment).

Well, I hope you're enjoying your week! I am, but I think I've forgotten what the sun looks like. Come on, San Francisco, as much as I love you, please warm up already. It's almost June.

Oh, I almost forgot:

Some new additions to the shop; birds, vampires and deer (oh my!)

And now, we must tidy up our apartment, we're playing Monopoly tonight with some lovely friends of ours. (I'm a bit of a board game fiend. )

Hello lovelies! I'll be having a sale in my shop for the holidays! If there is ever a piece of artwork of mine that you really want, I'm always happy to negotiate the price. ♥

On another note, I did some surgery on my blog and website. Major edits to this blog layout.  I wanted my website and blog to be more cohesive, eventually my blog will be my website, but I'll save that for another Saturday morning.
